"Duck Soup: An easily accomplished task or assignment; a cinch to succeed. This image interprets the idiom literally, with the small rubber ducks floating in a bowl of soup. The inclusion of the breadsticks, spoon, plate, and cloth napkin suggests that the image portrays a meal. The larger rubber duck, however, seems instead to be giving the smaller rubber ducks a bath."

Lame Ducks is a series of humorous paintings by Florida artist Kevin Grass featuring yellow rubber ducks. The ducks are used in literal meanings as puns or in plays on words. Rubber ducks have no gender and no race, so everyone can enjoy these images without feeling excluded. The paintings are meant to make you smile and enjoy a lighthearted side of contemporary art. They are painted with the same meticulous Northern Renaissance style detailing that I have become known for, yet show the smart-alecky side of my nature.
