By replacing a popular curse word with the word 'duck,' the resulting image becomes fun and playful, rather than vulgar and provocative. This subject is primarily intended for an adult audience, but it can easily be explained to children as 'Duck University' or 'the letter U is brought to you today by the yellow rubber duck.'"

Lame Ducks is a series of humorous paintings by Florida artist Kevin Grass featuring yellow rubber ducks. The ducks are used in literal meanings as puns or in plays on words. Rubber ducks have no gender and no race, so everyone can enjoy these images without feeling excluded. The paintings are meant to make you smile and enjoy a lighthearted side of contemporary art. They are painted with the same meticulous Northern Renaissance style detailing that I have become known for, yet show the smart-alecky side of my nature.
